Snapshots

Here are photo highlights from recent University events, including the 16th Annual Fannie Lou Hamer Symposium pictured above.

Vi Mai
Vi Mai, a sophomore Visual Arts major, looks closely at her favorite piece on display in the Art Gallery. John Sabraw's piece, "Chroma S6 1," is just one of several pieces combining art and science in the "Creative Collaborations in Arts & Sciences" exhibit. View the photo story to learn how students are drawing inspiration from science.
 Justin Cruz
Stockton student veteran Justin Cruz, public relations chair for the Student Veteran Organization (SVO), shows off the paper he created from pieces of his Navy uniform. Frontline Paper came to campus during Veterans Week and hosted a papermaking workshop where uniforms are cut into pieces, beaten into pulp, pulled into sheets and dried. View the photo story.
Lobiondo Exhibit
Students in Assistant Professor of Political Science Claire Abernathy’s “President and Congress” class created the exhibit, "The LoBiondo Legacy: Highlights from a Lifetime of Service to South Jersey,” by using items from the collection retired U.S. Rep Frank LoBiondo gifted to Stockton. The exhibit highlights 10 themes from his 35-year career in public service: Background, Aviation, John’s Law, Bulletproof Vest Grants, Intelligence, 9/11, Coast Guard, Environment, Challenge Coins and Relationships in Congress. The exhibit is housed in the lower level of the Richard E. Bjork Library. Pictured above (L-R): Stockton President Harvey Kesselman, Claire Abernathy, U.S. Rep.
