Saturday, May 6, 2017
7:30 registration. Program time 8:00am-5:00pm
Course Description:
Sports Medicine is one of the most prestigious areas of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training. It requires a high level of complexity and team coordination to achieve great results. There are multiple influences from coaches, athletic trainers, parents, physical therapists, and the injured athlete. There are also strict deadlines in the form of important games, where one loss due to an injury can mean the entire season. How do you set yourself apart as a leader in Sports Medicine?
Course participants will learn how to set themselves apart by identifying methods to build relationships with the entire team, starting prior to the season and lasting through the care of the athlete.
