Title: Graduate Coordinator, LGBTQIA+ Initiatives  

Paid Position: $18+/hr, 10-15 hours a week  

Qualifications: Currently enrolled at Stockton University and in good academic standing. Preferably in a Graduate Program (some exceptions will be made for Undergraduate Programs).  

Job Description: The WGSC is looking to hire a Graduate Coordinator for LGBTQIA+ Initiatives. Applicants must be highly familiar with this population and comfortable working with them and for them. Applicants must be familiar with working with/for diverse and intersectional populations. Must also be focused on social justice and equity issues. The Graduate Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing campus wide programing for the LGBTQIA+ population and allies. Applicants should be comfortable partnering with other departments as needed. Familiarity with student affairs and social justice work and DEI initiatives a plus.  

Professional, friendly/empathetic, problem-solver, team player, self-starter, interest in topics related to women, gender, sexuality and power-based personal violence (dating violence, sexual assault, stalking), public speaking for events. Marketing/Social Work/Psychology/Criminal Justice/Communication courses are a plus.

Title: Student Support (FWS Student Worker)

Paid Position, minimum wage to start, 8-10 hours per week, up to maximum award offered by Financial Aid

Job Description: Work alongside WGSC staff, interns and peer educators to assist in promoting the mission and vision of the Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Center. Greet clients, visitors, faculty and staff, answer phones. Plan and organize events, tabling, sort items, light clerical work.

Successful candidates will work alongside WGSC staff, interns, volunteers and sexual assault advocates to assist in promoting the mission and vision of the WGSC.

Title: Power-based Personal Violence (PBPV) Peer Educator

Unpaid Volunteer Opportunity 

Qualifications: To apply, you must be a currently enrolled student and successfully completed a 40-hour Advocacy training or the four-credit Peer Education class, GEN 2241.

Job Description: The PBPV Peer Educator volunteer position is an important role within our university community, dedicated to raising awareness about dating violence, sexual assault, stalking and bullying. PBPV Peer Educators will engage in various campus-wide initiatives aimed at educating in the prevention of PBPV, promoting consent, healthy relationships, and bystander intervention. Responsibilities include conducting tabling, hosting educational workshops, organizing awareness campaigns, and facilitating discussions on topics related to power-based personal violence. PBPV Peer Educators will collaborate with campus organizations, student groups, and university departments to create a safer and more inclusive campus environment.
