How to Join

Requirements

As of Fall 2026, first semester students will be able to join a fraternity/sorority. Once a student completes a semester at Stockton, they are considered to be a continuing student. All continuing students must have a cumulative 2.0 GPA to join a fraternity/ sorority. Prior to joining, all students, regardless of credit status, must still fill out the “Stockton University Fraternity and Sorority Life Eligibility Form” on OspreyHub and be on the eligibility list, prior to bid distribution.

The decision to join a fraternity or sorority should only be made after careful thought and research. Fraternity or sorority membership lasts a lifetime. While there are countless benefits to membership, the time and financial commitment should also be considered. These commitments vary among chapters, so be sure to ask before deciding to join.

Interested in Joining Form

Greek Council (GC)

Greek Council will host Meet the Greeks during the 3-week delayed window during a timeframe that considers campus traditions, events, and spiritual holidays.

Interfraternity Council (IFC)

Formal recruitment dates will be established after the 3-week delayed window during a timeframe that considers campus traditions, events, and spiritual holidays. IFC organizations are eligible to host recruitment events and extend bids to any students beyond their first semester at Stockton University or transfer students before the formal recruitment process hosted by the Council.

Unified Cultural Greek Council (UCGC)

If UCGC organizations plan to recruit first-year students, they must delay chapter recruitment activities until the Monday of the fourth week of the fall semester. If UCGC organizations plan to recruit only students beyond their first semester or transfer students, they may begin recruitment activities on the first day of the first week of the fall semester.

National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC)

NPHC organizations will be able to conduct intake any time throughout the academic year due to their individual chapter eligibility requirements (i.e. credits earned).

Panhellenic Council (CPH)

Primary recruitment dates will be established after the 3-week delayed window during a timeframe that considers campus traditions, events, and spiritual holidays. CPH organizations cannot conduct continuous open bidding (COB) when registration for primary recruitment is open, so chapters are unable to extend bids to students beyond their first semester at Stockton University or transfer students before primary recruitment. In the fall semester, students beyond their first semester at Stockton University or transfer students can participate in either primary recruitment or COB after primary recruitment has concluded.
