WeCare4®, Stockton Create Partnership to Support Caregivers

Galloway, N.J. — Stockton University and WeCare4®, a national leader in caregiver education and support, have announced a new partnership designed to develop, promote and deliver innovative education, professional development and certification programs for family and professional caregivers.

“The opportunity to work with Stockton University to develop and deliver much‑needed programs for family, friend and professional caregivers is truly exciting. Together, we will help fill a critical gap in the resources available to the caregiver community,” said Carol Greco, WeCare4® founder and CEO. “The knowledge and experience of the Stockton team will complement ours and together we can provide caregivers the best possible education, training, and certification programs, as well as our emerging WeCare4® Trusted Advisor™ Program.”
The agreement also calls for the development of candidates for the WeCare4® Trusted Advisor™ Program, training students in Stockton’s School of Social and Behavioral Sciences and the Stockton Center on Successful Aging (SOCSA). Stockton students, staff, faculty and alumni will also have access to WeCare4®’s comprehensive community platform, portfolio of resources and Job Board/Career Center as part of the new partnership.

WeCare4® will also work with SCOSA to establish an online micro-credential educational program designed to support family and friend caregivers, professional caregivers and eldercare professionals.
The program will offer high-quality, modular, on-demand online courses, allowing participants to select focused learning units aligned with their needs and interests. Learners may complete individual modules or pursue stackable micro-credentials and certificates, including the WeCare Certificate in Professional Eldercare (WCPE) and the WeCare Trusted Advisor™ Certificate (WTAC), co-branded with Stockton University.
“This collaboration allows Stockton University to showcase our expertise in aging, caregiving and applied education to a broader audience while maintaining academic rigor and accessibility,” said SCOSA Director Christine Ferri. “By partnering with WeCare, we are creating flexible, evidence-based learning opportunities that respond to the real-world challenges caregivers face.”

Content will be developed by SCOSA’s team of aging and caregiving specialists in collaboration with WeCare4® subject-matter experts, drawing on best practices in gerontology, psychology, social work, eldercare management and related fields. The collaboration also includes outreach to employers, with programs made available through Employee Assistance Programsand group pricing options to support working caregivers.
