University to Add Eight New Academic Program Options in Fall 2026

Five of the new academic program offerings Stockton University is starting this fall are within the Bachelor of Health Science program, including dual degrees for a Doctor of Chiropractic and Master’s in Athletic Training.
Galloway, N.J. — Stockton University announced this week it will offer eight new options within its degree programs starting in the fall 2026 semester in the areas of health science, education and social and behavioral sciences.
“At Stockton, we’re constantly reviewing our academic portfolio to ensure our programs meet the evolving needs of students and the communities we serve,” said Tracey Meilander, associate provost of curriculum and compliance. “These new program options give students more flexibility and clear pathways to advanced study in high-demand fields.”
Through these new degree offerings and strategic partnerships, and a strong foundation in the liberal arts, Stockton is helping to prepare a skilled workforce that can make an immediate impact in our region’s hospitals, schools and community agencies."Tracey Meilander, associate provost of curriculum and compliance
New options within the Bachelor of Science in Health Science program builds on partnerships the university has established with other institutions and can lead to baccalaureate and advanced degrees and credentials, including:
- BS Health Science – Doctor of Chiropractic dual degrees (4+3 and 3+3)
- BS Health Science – Applied Clinical Nutrition dual degrees (4+2 and 3+2)
- BS Health Science – Athletic Training dual degree (4+2)
- BS Health Science – Pre-Nutrition Concentration
- BS Health Science – Medical Laboratory Technology dual degree (3+1)
- Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science – K-12 Health and Physical Education Concentration
The chiropractic and nutrition degree paths are part of a new partnership with Northeast College of Health Sciences in New York. The athletic training dual-degree offering is through another new partnership with Thomas Jefferson University’s College of Rehabilitation Sciences in Philadelphia.
With the Northeast partnership, students complete their Stockton undergraduate degree requirements in three or four years and finish their advanced degree at Northeast. The Jefferson partnership provides a clear pathway to graduate study in athletic training with an accelerated pathway in development.
The medical laboratory dual degree pathway partners with Mercer County Community College where students earn both a baccalaureate degree and Associate of Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Technology, which prepares students for national certification exams.
The streamlined pathways and accelerated options with partners help students reduce the time required to earn their degrees.
A collaboration across Stockton’s School of Education and School of Health Sciences created a pathway to preparing for Health and Physical Education teaching licensure in New Jersey through the new Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science – K-12 Health and Physical Education Concentration.
“Southern New Jersey continues to see increasing demand for health care professionals, educators and social service providers,” Meilander said. “Through these new degree offerings and strategic partnerships, and a strong foundation in the liberal arts, Stockton is helping to prepare a skilled workforce that can make an immediate impact in our region’s hospitals, schools and community agencies.”
Stockton currently offers more than 160 undergraduate areas of study and 20 graduate degree programs.
