Club Connect: Meet the... Sociology & Anthropology Club

Galloway, N.J. – Aren’t you just SO-ANxious to join clubs here on campus and expand your horizons? If so, the Sociology and Anthropology Club is the perfect place to start!

SOAN is a small—but slowly growing—community.

“We just wanted something for people in our major to be able to get involved in that wasn’t going to be too huge of a time commitment,” Emma Rodriguez, president of SOAN, said.

She stressed that there aren’t many students in this major, so it could be difficult to make friends in the same field; the club made that possibility much easier.

SOAN members like to go on trips, whether it be to Cape May or museums such as the Harriet Tubman Museum and Penn Museum, and are planning movie nights and hang-out sessions to build connections and form friendships.

“Students that join can expect an equal exchange of learning new things from one another, chances to collaborate with other clubs on campus, free group trips to different museums and E-board opportunities to build leadership skills,” Rodriguez said.
