Club Connect: Meet... Stockton a Cappella
Galloway, N.J. – Neil Aaronson, professor of Physics, decided to bring a Cappella to Stockton University in 2006.
Since then, Stockton a Cappella has become a welcoming space for those who are passionate about singing and want to become better and for casual singers who sing just for fun, in the car, in the shower, or for themselves. It is a great opportunity to meet new friends who share the same passion for singing.
According to Stockata president Naji Boone, Stockton a Cappella is a community for “singers who aren’t singers.”
“It’s for people who love to sing for the passion of it and not those who want to chase fame and fortune,” Boone said.
Meeting days and practices depend on which group you are in. All groups start at 8 p.m. and can be found on both OspreyHub and their main Instagram.
- Stockata, a non-competing, casual and all-female group, meets on Mondays and Wednesdays.
- Stocktones, a non-competing, casual and co-ed group, meets on Mondays and Thursdays.
- Stockapella, the competing co-ed group, meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
