We would like to inform you on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, starting at 8:00 am, there will be a large tractor trailer parked near the construction fence surrounding Unified Science Center II.  The truck, delivering furniture to the new building, may cause an obstructed view of the roadway.  It is important you are caution while driving in this area, for there will be many individuals, in the lot, unloading the truck.

RE: Temporary Closure at the Entrance to Lot 4

Please be advised, on Thursday, December 7, 2017 between 7:00 am and 10:30 am, the entrance to Lot 4 from Vera King Farris Drive to the first drive into Lot 5 will be closed to traffic.  During this time fire pump tests will be taking place for the new United Science Center II Building.  These tests will produce large amounts of water that will run onto the roadway, so kindly plan accordingly.

We are pleased to announce on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 Parking Lot 6 will be open with limited parking, due to the installation of parking blocks at the spaces along the perimeter.  It is our intention to make all of the spaces available by Friday, September 1, 2017. We would like to inform you that beginning Monday, May 15, 2017, the South Lot, nearest Housing IV,  will be closed until mid-August due to construction activity in and around the Housing IV residential complex. During this time please park in North Lot. As always, please use caution while travelling in the area and stay clear of the construction site & equipment.

Beginning Monday, May 15th, Housing IV will be offline with no access until mid-August. We will be providing updates throughout the summer months.

Parking Lot 4 Closure

We would like to inform you that beginning on Monday, May 15th, 2017 the entrance/exit to Parking Lot 4 from Vera King Farris Drive will be closed temporarily for construction. The entrance/exit will be closed for approximately 3 weeks, weather permitting. All other campus access points will not be impacted and remain open. For access to Parking Lot 5 please refer to the attached map.

Building 41 & 42 Generator Testing

We would like to inform you that on Monday, March 13, 2017, between 2:00pm and 3:00pm, we will be testing the standby generators for Buildings 41 & 42. The only building that will be affected is the Sports Center. There will be two power outages lasting 5 to 10 minutes each. Egress lighting and fire alarm systems will not be affected.

Arts & Sciences Building Exterior Survey

We would like to inform you that on Friday, February 17, 2017, between 8:00am and 5:00pm, a contractor will be performing an exterior survey of the rear and inner court parts of the Arts & Sciences building. This survey will include using a mobile lift for measuring and cutting wall and roof edge samples at the upper portions of the building. The building and Parking Lot 0 will remain open during this time. As always, please use caution while travelling in the area and stay clear of the construction & equipment.

Unified Science Center I Electrical Shutdown

We would like to inform you that beginning at 6:00am on Saturday, February 11, 2017 electricity will temporarily be shut down in the Unified Science Center I and is expected to last roughly 14 to 16 hours. This shutdown will allow the contractor to connect electric feeders to the two new buildings for the Quad Project.

Generator power will be utilized for the USCI throughout the shutdown process protecting critical components servicing the building. It is recommended that faculty and staff who work in the USCI save all computer work prior to the shutdown.

There will be various contractor work areas during these operations:

  • One on Vera King Farris Drive near the dam
  • One at the entrance to Lot 1
  • One at the entrance to Lot 4
  • Two on the project site

Road closures are not expected during this work; however, Vera King Farris Drive will be reduced to one lane from Parking Lot 1 to Parking Lot 4. Please use caution when in these areas. Campus Police will be assisting with traffic control.

If possible, please avoid this area due to construction.

Forestry Maintenance (Controlled Burn)

We would like to inform you that beginning at 11:00am on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection will be conducting a controlled burn behind the water plant. This controlled burn is a part of Stockton University’s master forestry plan and is in conjunction with the State Fire Service.

Please note, if the weather changes to unfavorable conditions, the controlled burn will be postponed.

Water Pressure Testing

Earlier today, you may have experienced water issues on the main campus. This was due to the performance of a water pressure test for the new construction site. The test is now complete and water pressure should be back to normal.
