Stephen Dunn Reading Series: Dolen Perkins-Valdez

Galloway, N.J. – Dolen Perkins-Valdez, a New York Times bestselling author, is set to be the final speaker for this academic year's Stephen Dunn Reading Series on Wednesday, April 5 at 5:30 p.m. 

Perkins-Valdez is the author of "Wench" (2010); "Balm" (2015); and "Take My Hand" (2022). "Wench" was released by HarperCollins as one of eight limited edition modern classics, along with noteworthy authors such as Edward P. Jones, Louise Eldrich and Zora Neale Hurston, in 2017. 

"Take My Hand" was named a "Most Anticipated Book of 2022" in Newsweek, San Francisco Chronicle, Essence, NBC News and elsewhere. 

The event will begin with a reception in West Quad room 103 and simulcasted via ZoomAdmission is free, and the public is welcome to attend.
