In this challenging time, it is more important than ever that we stay connected as a Stockton community and look out for each other. Though we are not able to gather in person, our team in Development and Alumni Relations wants to ensure alumni and friends continue to have meaningful ways to stay connected. Below please find virtual events for you and your family, opportunities for networking and conversation, and other opportunities to stay connected.

JANUARY

Vegan Cooking

Vegan Cooking Demo with Anthony Dissen
Jan. 20; 7-8 p.m.

Join us for a live, interactive vegan and raw foods demonstration hosted by Stockton faculty member Anthony Dissen, instructor of Health Sciences. An ingredients list for this delicious meal will be provided prior to the live cooking demo so you can cook along!


Virtual Meditation

Motivation Monday with Mary McMonagle: Virtual Yoga
Jan. 25; 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Move your body through yoga. This is an all-levels virtual yoga class. Yoga is great for the mind, body and soul. This yoga class is guided by Stockton alumna Mary McMonagle, owner of True Vibe. Mary focuses her yoga classes on the body’s energy centers by connecting them through movement and breath. Yoga helps release pain and pressure in the body. Practicing yoga will also stretch and strengthen your body. Mary has set the intention for this class on empowerment: physically, mentally and emotionally. She will guide the body through a gentle yoga flow focusing on empowering you and your body throughout the practice. You will leave this class feeling calm but powerful.


 

YAC HH

First YAC Virtual Happy Hour!
Jan. 27; 5:30 p.m.

Hosted by the Young Alumni Club (YAC), this happy hour is the perfect way to wind down and reconnect with fellow young alumni. Graduates of the last decade are welcome to drop in any time to say hi, share Stockton memories and create new ones!


Home Buying 101

Home Buying 101 with Nathaniel Geary '12
Jan. 28; 6-7 p.m.

Stockton alumnus and Realtor for Keller Williams Realty, Nathaniel Geary will lead an in-depth and interactive session on home buying! Geary will cover key steps on the home buying process, offering insightful tips on how to best land your dream home! 


MLK 2021

MLK Day of Service 2021
Jan. 30

Join us for the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service community event! Although there will be no live opening program at the Galloway campus this year due to the pandemic, community members and alumni are welcome to participate in one of many virtual projects, including writing thank-you letters to AtlantiCare workers, reading to children and engaging in virtual science and art projects and more!


 

FEBRUARY

Trivia Night

Stockton Kahoot Trivia Night hosted by Steven Couras '08
Feb. 11; 8-9 p.m.

Come with friends via Zoom and answer general trivia questions to win great prizes, including some Stockton University gear! Questions are based on movies, TV/streaming shows, current events, pop culture, music, tech/social media, and Stockton knowledge. Show up and show off your smarts and trivia skills!


 

Name that Tune

Stockton Name that Tune Game Night hosted by Steven Couras '08
Feb. 17; 8-9 p.m.

Know everything there is to know about pop, rock, rap, and top 40 music from the 80s through today? Well then join us via Zoom for a rousing rendition of Name That Tune and test your music knowledge to try and win some awesome prizes!


Faculty Film Series

Faculty & Friends Film Series: Wild About Wine with Donna Albano
Feb. 18; 7-8 p.m.

As part of the Stockton University Faculty & Friends Film Series, faculty member, Donna Albano, an associate professor in Hospitality, Tourism & Event Management Studies, will lead a live, interactive discussion on wine fundamentals and the film “Sideways.” Please watch the film in advance of the event and enjoy the discussion with your favorite glass of wine.

Join us for a new virtual series on diversity, inclusion and social justice featuring alumni, faculty, staff and others. This event will answer what diversity and inclusion means for Stockton and the community featuring a distinguished panel of Stockton alumni, faculty, staff and students.

Join us for a new virtual series on diversity, inclusion and social justice featuring alumni, faculty, staff and others. This event will dive into the relationship between diversity and inclusivity and the First Amendment principle of Freedom of Speech featuring a distinguished panel of Stockton alumni, faculty, staff and students.
