Acknowledgments

The Hammonton Historic Preservation Commission, in preparation for Hammonton’s 2016 Sesquicentennial Celebration, revised and reprinted the Historic Walking Trail Guide that had originally been created through the efforts of the Historical Society of Hammonton in 2010.

Special thanks go out to Historic Preservation Commissioners Angela Donio,

Janet Worrell, Christine McCullough, Jack Mazzeo and Barbara Neary-Bachalis

who worked tirelessly to verify additional historic facts, expand the content and text, and revise photographs. They also worked closely with Stockton University Professor Tom Kinsella. We thank him for helping create both an updated Walking Trail Guide Booklet and a new digital tour format accessible by smartphones and other electronic devices designed to reach new audiences through a new media application. We would also like to extend our appreciation to Atlantic City Electric, especially Susan Coan, Regional Vice President, for the generous donation of providing the printing of the revised Trail Guide Booklet.

We want to acknowledge and extend our deepest appreciation to the original committee members of the Historical Society of Hammonton for creatively developing the Walking Trail Guide first presented to the

community in 2010. The original Walking Trail Committee comprising Pat Caruso, Angela Donio, Kristin B. Keating, and Janet Worrell worked together for many months to shape this tour into a lasting historic record for generations to come.  Additionally, Ben Francis, the 2010 summer intern working for

the Historical Society of Hammonton, contributed many volunteer hours to the project to create the original document.
