Welcome to the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences (a.k.a. SOBL)
Welcome Message from the Dean
We are the academic home for students majoring in Criminal Justice, Economics, Political Science, Psychology, Social Work and Sociology/Anthropology. On this page, you will find important information that will guide you through the course registration process for your first semester at Stockton.
Instructional Videos (please watch these first, if you have not already):

Important notes for all new students:
- Please familiarize yourself with the Student Services tab in the Go Portal. That
is where you will access your registration, transcript and Degree Works, as well as
your academic profile - your major, any concentrations or minors, and your assigned
preceptor* (faculty advisor).
*Please note that your preceptor may not yet be listed at the time of registration. - Check your major - if it is not correct, you may have difficulty registering for certain courses.
- Know your student ID, a.k.a "Z-number" - if you are requesting assistance during the registration process, this will almost always be the first piece of information you are asked to provide.
Please click on the appropriate section below (First Year or Transfer) and review the information provided before your scheduled orientation/registration day. Please also visit our Academic Programs page to find more detailed information on each of our programs, including curriculum info, available concentrations, faculty profiles and special opportunities. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to email us at sobl@stockton.edu.
*If you have fewer than 16 transfer credits, please use the information for First Year Students.
*If you have between 16 and 32 credits, you may, but are not required to, take a First Year Seminar and FRST 2000-level courses.
