The Vice President for Student Affairs Search Committee, charged with building a broad, diverse pool of candidates and conducting outreach and interviews, ultimately will make a recommendation to the President in April 2025.

*Dates are designed to optimize community input, but are also subject to change, if needed.

January 2025

  • The search committee will meet to finalize the timeline, outreach strategies, priorities, and desired characteristics of a potential Vice President for Student Affairs. The search committee will also finalize the leadership profile and job description.

February 2025 – March 2025

  • The job is posted and recruitment begins.
  • The search committee finalizes interview materials.
  • Application materials are reviewed individually by the search committee on an ongoing basis.

March 2025

  • The search committee determines semi-finalists.
  • Virtual interviews are conducted between March 31st and April 4th.
  • Finalists are invited to an in-person interview.

April 2025

  • 2-day interviews are conducted on campus between April 14th and April 25th, including candidate presentations for the campus community at 4:30 PM on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Finalists may meet with additional constituents as needed.
  • The search committee prepares to recommend acceptable candidates to the President.

May 2025

  • The President will extend an offer to the desired candidate. The final candidate accepts the offer and an appointment will be announced to the campus community. 

To oversee the process of selecting the next Vice President for Student Affairs, the Staff, Student, and Faculty Senates collaborated with the President to form a search committee. The committee with assistance from the Office of Human Resources will manage the recruitment and assessment of candidates, presenting finalists to the President and campus community.
