Galloway, N.J. - “State of the Arts NJ,” a public television program co-produced by Stockton University’s School of the Arts and Humanities (ARHU), the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and PCK Media, has won a Mid-Atlantic Emmy, for a total of five awards in the five years of the partnership.

The winning segment, about the Art and Artificial Intelligence Lab at Rutgers University, won in the Arts/Entertainment News category. It was produced by Christopher Benincasa.

“Stockton is thrilled to partner with the talented folks at PCK Media and the State Arts Council to produce ‘State of the Arts,’” said Dean Lisa Honaker of ARHU.  “We very much appreciate the ways in which this show’s stories celebrate the arts in New Jersey and give viewers a window into how, why, and where our state's artists do what they do.”

“State of the Arts” is a New Jersey public television tradition and has been nationally recognized as a premier showcase for arts and culture, winning numerous awards in its 35 years.

Stockton received $200,000 this year from the state Council on the Arts to co-produce the show, which is also funded by a $10,000 grant from the Dodge Foundation. Additional support is provided by New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance, William and Judith Scheide, and Friends of State of the Arts.
