Galloway, N.J. – The Stockton Center on Successful Aging (SCOSA) is continuing its “A Tour of Poetry for Seniors” series at the Otto Bruyns Library, located at 241 W. Mill Road in Northfield, N.J. on Saturday, July 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Older adults from the community are invited to attend. The free monthly series features guest poets.

The poetry workshop invites participants to seek words for thoughts and to find a type of fulfillment with poetry. During each session, the guest poet will read original work, present an engaging lecture and encourage participants to write and share something of their own. Light refreshments will be served.

The program is organized by Emari DiGiorgio, who serves Stockton as an associate professor of Writing, coordinator of the First-Year Studies Writing program, and SCOSA faculty research fellow. The workshop is partially funded by SCOSA research and professional development funds provided by Stockton’s Division of Academic Affairs.

Register online or call 609-626-4476. Visit the SCOSA website at www.stockton.edu/scosa for more information, updates and cancellation procedures.
