Galloway N.J. – The Stockton Center on Successful Aging (SCOSA) invites older adults to take a basic modern dance class with LehrerDance, a professional dance company from Buffalo, N.Y. on Friday, Oct. 14 from 1-2 p.m. in H Wing Dance Studio, Room H104 of Stockton University’s main Galloway campus.
This class is part of the School of Arts and Humanities’ Dance Company Residency taking place for two weeks in October. Attendees should wear loose-fitting clothes that will allow them to dance if they wish.
The residency culminates in a performance of the company in Stockton's Performing Arts Center. Participants in the workshop receive a coupon for two discounted tickets to the performance.
LehrerDance is an exciting and innovative professional dance company. Under the direction of Jon Lehrer, the company showcases his unique choreography and embodies his definitive style. Lehrer’s extensive background in both the modern and jazz dance idioms fosters choreography that is organic, artistic, accessible and often humorous, reflecting life experience and the human condition.
Register online or call 609-626-3591. Visit the SCOSA website at www.stockton.edu/scosa for more information, updates and cancellation procedures.
