Manahawkin Instructional Site to Host Student Presentation, ‘Beyond the Annex: The Story of Anne Frank after Her Arrest’

Galloway, N.J. - Stockton University will present, “Beyond the Annex: The Story of Anne Frank after Her Arrest.” The event will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18 at the Manahawkin Instructional Site, located at 712 East Bay Ave. in Manahawkin, N.J.

The presentation will be given by Kate Calamito, a junior Historical Studies student with a minor in Holocaust and Genocide studies.

Calamito will discuss Anne Frank, her family, the Van Pels and Fritz Pfeffer, their discovery and arrest of August 1944. The presentation will cover the Franks’ lives, their time in the annex and their arrest as well as the outcome.

Calamito’s lecture will explore Anne Frank’s experience during the Holocaust, as well as other individuals involved.
