Galloway, N.J. - Dylan Fest AC 2016 will mark Bob Dylan’s 75th birthday this year by celebrating several aspects of the prolific singer-songwriter’s career, including a live performance of Dylan’s groundbreaking folk-rock album, “John Wesley Harding.”

Four musical acts will perform at Dante Hall Theater, 14 N. Mississippi Ave., Atlantic City, N.J. on Saturday, Oct. 1. The event, which sold out last year, begins with a pre-show wine tasting and art show at the Noyes Arts Garage of Stockton University at Fairmount and Mississippi avenues from 5-7 p.m., followed by live music starting at 7 p.m. at Dante Hall, across the street.

The 5 Believers will perform Dylan’s “John Wesley Harding,” while Dead Reckoning will celebrate his work and relationship with the Grateful Dead in the “Dylan & The Dead Experience.”

The show also will include an acoustic solo set by acclaimed New Jersey singer-songwriter/ Dylan tribute artist Pat Guadagno, who is the brother-in-law of Lieut. Gov. Kim Guadagno. Local favorites Dr. Phil & the Heartattacks will perform the opening set. The live music program, emceed by WZXL’s Steve Raymond, will include four sets of Dylan, Band and Grateful Dead tunes.

Tickets are $20 pre-sale and $25 at the door, and can be purchased by visiting stockton.edu/dante or calling the Box Office at 609-626-3890.

Dylan Fest AC began in 2015 to pay tribute to the 50th anniversary of Bob Dylan’s first hooking up with Levon & the Hawks (later to become The Band) in August 1965, in Somers Point, N.J., along with the enduring musical relationship between Dylan and members of The Band which continues today. The event is the brainchild of Jeff Schwachter, a musician and artist who performs in The 5 Believers and with Dead Reckoning in “Dylan & The Dead Experience.”

As with 2015’s inaugural Dylan Fest AC, the lobby of Dante Hall will be transformed into a Dylan Museum with original artwork (some for sale) by regional artists including Mike Bell, Victor Perez, and Schwachter, as well as vintage posters, photos and other Bob Dylan and The Band-related memorabilia.

Formica Bros. Bakery is the presenting sponsor of Dylan Fest 2016, with additional sponsorships and support from WZXL 100.7 FM, ArtC, Ducktown Tavern, Grass Roots Music Shop, Mainstay Marketplace, the Noyes Arts Garage of Stockton University and Dante Hall.
