Galloway, N.J. — Stockton University students will have access to expanded career development resources thanks to a $25,000 donation from the Enterprise Mobility Foundation.

The gift was presented during the Fall Career and Internship Fair in the Sports Center organized by Stockton’s Career Education and Development office on Oct. 8. It will support initiatives that help students prepare for internships and employment, including Stockton’s Suit Closet, a professional headshot station and programming focused on leadership, professional growth and workforce readiness.

The donation builds on a partnership between Stockton and Enterprise Mobility that spans more than 20 years and has helped students develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed professionally.

Among the collaborative initiatives is the Networking Bootcamp, which provides hands-on opportunities for students to practice networking, strengthen their communication skills and learn how to present themselves to prospective employers.

The partnership has also created employment opportunities for Stockton graduates. Currently, 72 Stockton alumni work at Enterprise Mobility locations nationwide.

“Enterprise Mobility values its partnership with Stockton University and remains committed to supporting the Career Education and Development team and the students they serve. We are proud to present this grant of $25,000 from the Enterprise Mobility Foundation to help enhance resources and programming that prepare students for career success,” said Talibah Mackey, Enterprise Mobility, Talent Acquisition Specialist, Philadelphia Group.

The donation will help the Career Education & Development office build on its existing programs and provide additional support for students as they prepare to enter the workforce.

“This generous investment from Enterprise Mobility will help us provide students with the resources, experiences and confidence they need to take the next steps in their careers,” said Sofia Abreu, director of Career Education and Development at Stockton. “From professional attire and headshots to networking and leadership development, these resources help remove barriers and ensure more students can take advantage of opportunities to prepare for life after graduation.”

Connecting Students with Employers

The donation comes as Stockton expands opportunities for students to explore careers, develop professional skills and connect with potential employers.

Career and Internship Fair

Nearly 1,000 students attended the annual Career and Internship Fair, which featured a series of career preparation activities.

Nearly 1,000 students attended the Career and Internship Fair, where representatives from 104 employers shared information about career paths, internships and employment opportunities.

The fair was supported by a series of career preparation activities, including Resume Rush and other events that collectively generated more than 900 student touchpoints.

A Criminal Justice Meet-Up, organized in collaboration with Stockton's Criminal Justice program, also connected nearly 200 students with 20 employers.

“I am looking at getting in my medical hours with an internship or part-time role. I am especially interested in AtlantiCare, and they reached out and told me to come find their booth today,” said Aiddys Ramirez, a junior Health Science major.

For junior Accounting major Yoselin Aparicio, the fair was also an opportunity to discover career paths she hadn't previously considered.

“I think it is important to have a career fair on campus because it opens students up to a horizon of opportunities we may not have known about. Specifically, a lot of these companies some students may not have thought of when looking for a career,” she said.
