Galloway, N.J. - If you enjoy thrilling quests, battling fearsome monsters and exploring magical realms, then Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) is just the right club for you!

During the summer of 2023, Andrew Simoes worked as an orientation leader. In his sessions, he encouraged new students to get involved and shared information about the clubs available on campus, many of which approached him asking if a D&D club existed.

Recognizing the high demand, Simoes decided to take the initiative to establish the club on campus, aiming to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for the community to enjoy D&D.

The club is now up and running and is looking for “anyone willing to learn the game,” said Cody Leszczynski, the vice president.

“Yeah, like anybody who is just curious too,” added Isabella Casano, the public relations chair.

Whether you are introverted or extroverted, this club welcomes all. It accommodates both by holding large group sessions and smaller one-on-one sessions. 

The club holds a general meeting monthly, with game sessions occurring every other week. During these sessions, the Dungeon Master leads their team on exciting quests.

There are subgroups within the club. Once the seven Dungeon Masters (team leaders) create their campaigns, members indicate which team they want to join. After the subgroups are formed, the teams play against each other.

If you’re interested in becoming a Dungeon Master, you’ll need to have basic knowledge of Dungeons and Dragons, commit to hosting sessions and meet with Simoes, the club president.
