Club Connect: Meet the… Stockton Equestrian Club

The Stockton Equestrian Club is just one way to get involved at Stockton University.
Galloway, N.J. — Formed in 2006 by Stockton alumna and current barn owner Stephanie Rex, the Stockton Equestrian Club was founded on the principle of learning about and loving horses and the sport of riding.
The club is currently in the planning stages of hosting a barn sleepover and movie night. Members look forward to welcoming new students and showing the Stockton community the world of equestrian riding.
For more information about the club and their upcoming events, visit OspreyHub and follow them on Instagram.
A typical meeting for the Equestrian Club begins with a recap of Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) events and upcoming activities. The club then leans into its educational mission by teaching members about horse care. Every year, they host two free riding clinics and a bingo night.
The club also has a competitive equitation riding team with the IHSA and is currently looking to expand its team into Western riding.
“When it comes to looking for new members, we are looking for people with a positive attitude toward learning more about horses, whether they want to ride or just learn about the animal or sport,” said the club’s president, Isabella Franchetta, a Finance major from Bridgeton.
