Galloway, N.J. — The Stockton University Foundation will hold its seventh annual Ospreys Give, a 24-hour long campaign focused on giving and gratitude. The event kicks off at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8 and concludes at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9. This year’s goal is to inspire 1,250 donors to support Stockton students and programs.

With the theme "24 Hours to Build Futures,” Stockton encourages all members of the community to make a gift in any amount to support the causes or programs most meaningful to them. Participants can choose from more than 300 designations for their donations, including scholarships, academic programs, athletics, emergency relief, food security programs and more.

For the second year in a row, Spencer’s and Spirit Halloween are the event’s leading sponsor, with a commitment of $250,000 to be unlocked as donor goals are reached throughout the campaign. A variety of matches and challenges will be available to multiply donations and unlock additional funding.

“We are proud to continue our partnership with Stockton University, bettering our community and investing in the next generation of leaders,” said Steven Silverstein, CEO of Spencer’s and Spirit Halloween.

Events will take place on Stockton’s Galloway campus to celebrate the spirit of philanthropy including:

  • Ospreys Give Kick-off Party: The event kicks off at 1 p.m. with games, prizes, music and food.
  • Talon Taxi Rides: Catch a ride on the Talon Taxi around campus for a chance to win money for the cause or program of your choice.
  • Alumni and Friends Happy Hour: Enjoy live entertainment along with drink and food specials at the Fox Den, located at Linwood Country Club on Oct. 8 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

“Ospreys Give is a call to action for everyone who believes in the promise of public education,” said Dan Nugent, vice president of University Advancement and executive director of the University Foundation. “This is a chance to be part of something bigger—to join a movement that fuels education and creates opportunities for our students. Every gift adds up to something extraordinary.”
