Fourth Issue of International Journal of Gaming, Hospitality and Tourism released
Galloway, N.J. — The fourth issue of the International Journal of Gaming, Hospitality and Tourism (IJGHT) was released today by the Lloyd D. Levenson Institute of Gaming, Hospitality and Tourism at Stockton University. The peer-reviewed, open-access journal was developed to share original research that bridges the gap between industry practitioners and academic researchers and educators.
“I believe you will be impressed by the range of topics spanning restaurant operations, hotel management and tourism motivations, and the fresh perspectives brought by our student contributors,” said Jane Bokunewicz, LIGHT faculty director and IJGHT founding editor.
The online journal can be viewed on the LIGHT website at stockton.edu/light. Students and faculty members from Stockton University, Indiana University Northwest, Missouri State University and Reykjavík University in Iceland contributed to the articles.
Articles in the fourth issue include:
- Social Intelligence and Its Impact on Women Hotel Managers
- Dark Tourism Growth: Understanding Motivation Dynamics
- Crisis Management and Organizational Culture in Restaurant Resilience and Longevity
- Recent Inflation Impacts on the Restaurant Industry, What are the Solutions?
- The Perception and Use of Sustainability Practices in Farm Markets: A Case Study Exploring a Central New Jersey Market
“I hope our readers enjoy the insightful articles in this issue and the perspectives of both experienced and emerging industry professionals,” Bokunewicz said.
After an online vote, this year’s winner for the “Best Student Paper” is Amelia Olsson for “Recent Inflation Impacts on the Restaurant Industry, What are the Solutions?”
