Club Connect: Meet the… Stockton Horror Society

The Stockton Horror Society is just one of over 200 ways to get involved at Stockton University.

Galloway, N.J. – According to its club members, there are no prerequisites to joining the Stockton Horror Society – not even liking the genre.

The society goes on trips, including an upcoming one to November's Monster-Mania Con in Oaks, Pennsylvania. “It’s so much fun! There are so many cool vendors, and it’s a good time, ”Hayden McQuillan, a member, said.

Join the club on OspreyHub and join their Facebook group for more updates on their upcoming meetings and events.

“If you don’t like horror, that’s okay – we’re not going to force you to watch the movies or join the club but give it a try," Shavie "Va" Lee said.

"Try something you might not like and embrace discomfort – I did, and now I’m president of the club."

Every meeting – which takes place every Tuesday at 8 p.m. in L-115 – has a theme, such as First Edition Night, and includes a Jeopardy game with trivia questions.

Overall, the society’s meetings are a “chill” gathering for enthusiasts to talk about their favorite horror films.
