Club Connect: Meet the… Colombian Stockton Students Association

The Colombian Stockton Students Association is just one of over 200 ways to get involved at Stockton University.

Galloway, N.J. – “Each culture is different and unique, so I hope that (students) take that (lesson) with them after our meetings.”

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, COSSA plans to host “Coffee & Canvas” in the Multicultural Center on Tuesday, Oct. 15, starting at 7 p.m.

“We’re going to have Colombian coffee and pastries and canvases for everyone to paint their own flags and cultures,” Villalba Murillo said.

Join them on OspreyHub and follow them on Instagram (@C.O.S.S.A) for more updates on their upcoming meetings and events.

Samuel Villalba Murillo, vice president and co-founder of the brand-new Colombian Stockton Student Association (COSSA), and the club's founding members can’t wait to connect with other students and share Colombian culture with the campus community. They emphasized that the organization is for every student to experience and said that those who are not Colombian will be able to learn more about their traditions through their meetings.

The club has already established roots at Stockton through events such as "Estudia con COSSA/ Study with COSSA" and "Dia Del Amor y De La Amistad/ Day of Love and Friendship."

They look forward to exploring opportunities for collaboration with the other Hispanic/Latino organizations on campus.
