Club Connect: Meet… The Creative Collective

The Creative Collective is just one of over 200 ways to get involved at Stockton University.

Galloway, N.J. – Sometimes, an artist just needs to gain perspective on a piece before they can consider it complete and ready for their portfolio.

The collective’s members plan to be vendors for the Noyes Arts Garage of Atlantic City’s annual Holiday Market & Gingerbread Village on Saturday, Dec. 14, and Sunday, Dec. 15.

“We had a couple members, now alumni, who had a great experience with displaying their art at the market,” Neal said. “They were able to also sell their prints, which became a great networking opportunity for them.”

Join the club on OspreyHub and their Discord for more updates on their upcoming meetings and events.

That’s where the Creative Collective comes in.

The collective became an official student organization just last spring. Since then, they have been giving each other advice on each member’s current work and taking field trips to different art galleries in Philadelphia and New York for inspiration.

The club’s events coordinator, Fine Arts major Yandrea Neal, says it is open to all students, regardless of major or art experience.

“We’re looking for members who will be open to critique of their work, seeking new insights into their art, or even discovering their own art style. We also don’t mind people who haven’t done art at all and are just curious about the art world in general,” Neal said.
