Approved Tuition & Fees

Tuition and fees at Stockton University will increase 2% for the 2023-24 academic year and summer 2024 session, subject to the approval of anticipated allocations in the state budget.

In-state, full-time undergraduate students will pay $7,766 per semester for up to 20 credits, a 2% or $172 increase, under the tuition and fee structure approved by the Board of Trustees.

The university’s flat-rate tuition plan allows full-time students to take up to 20 credits per semester at no additional cost, potentially saving thousands of dollars.

Meal plans will increase an average of 2.5%, depending on plan type. Room rates for 2023-24 were approved by the board earlier this year and vary based on the housing type and location.

Renamed the William T. Daly School of General Studies

The board approved a resolution renaming the School of General Studies at Stockton the William T. Daly School of General Studies, in honor of the late founding faculty member who died Jan. 31.

“Bill Daly was the personification of the founding vision of Stockton,” President Harvey Kesselman said. “He embodied Stockton’s purpose. Over 40 years he taught thousands of students in political science and general studies classes.”

“I want to thank President Kesselman and everyone who made this happen. I am overwhelmed. Stockton is his home,” said Daly’s wife, Nancy, through tears.

Kesselman noted he was in Daly’s class “Revolution and the Revolutionaries" as a student, which had a profound effect on his education. Daly coined the term “The Stockton Idea” in an iconic essay describing Stockton’s approach to providing “elite education for state college students,” according to the resolution.
