Hospitality Program Ranks 7th in Nation

Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University’s Hospitality, Tourism and Event Management degree program has been ranked 7th in the nation by study.com.

study.com logoStockton was specifically cited for its specialty programs within the School of Business, which allow students to enroll in classes catering to special interests in event management, tourism management, resort management, or food and beverage management.

The ranking noted Stockton’s proximity to Atlantic City, and the program’s inclusion of visits to local businesses and access to speakers.  Stockton’s new campus in Atlantic City offers students the opportunity to live, learn and work in the internationally known tourist destination, with beachfront housing on the Boardwalk.

The ranking assessed affordability, accessibility, tuition, acceptance and graduation rates and student organizations.  It also noted additional options offered to students to get hands-on training, such as internships and participation in national organizations.

In addition to its degree programs, students in Stockton’s Events Management track can earn the Young Professional certificate from the Event Design Collective Young Professional Program. Stockton is the only university on the East Coast offering this certification.

“I am incredibly proud of the dedication of our faculty to excellence and these efforts are paying off through this recognition,” said Alphonso Ogbuehi, dean of the School of Business.
