Club Connect: Meet the ... Surf Club
Galloway, N.J. – Looking to catch some gnarly waves, or just looking for a place to make some cool new friends? Look no further than the Stockton Surf Club!
The Surf Club is a campus organization that meets monthly. Meeting dates vary month-to-month; members are encouraged to participate in the Surf Club group chat to receive and keep track of monthly meeting requests and reminders.
At meetings, members often travel to predetermined local beach locations for surfing practices and competitions. Experienced members also often hold surf lessons for less experienced members.
No prior surfing experience is required to join, and don't worry if you don’t have a board – extra ones are always brought along.
Some of the club’s major past events include barbecues, fundraisers and cleanups, all which took place on a beach.
Anyone interested in joining the Surf Club can do so by reaching out on Ospreyhub or by emailing stocktonsurf@gmail.com.
“You don’t have to be a pro surfer to join the Surf Club,” said member Matt Furry. “You just have to be active and have an excitement for the sport, like all of us!”
