Accelerated Nursing Program Holds Pinning Ceremony
Galloway, N.J. – Twenty students in the second Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing cohort were recognized on Dec. 14 at a pinning ceremony at the Galloway campus.
Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Lori Vermeulen and Dean of the School of Health Sciences Margaret Slusser welcomed the Class of 2018 and their guests.
Joan Perks introduced guests and student Stephanie Santos introduced guest speaker Micki Patrick, vice president of nursing and chief nurse executive at Southern Ocean Medical Center.
After the pinning of the graduates and lighting of candles the students took the Nightingale Pledge led by Annamarie Valerio.
The 20 participants are: Joy M. Akpan, Lindsay M. Carignan, Matthew J. Ciarallo, Lauren M. Deludicibus, Christian R. Dy, Dylan J. Harkness, Arianna L. Jones. Lisa L. Larned, Christine MacCotter, Brooke M. Manfredi, Peggy McFarlane, Stephanie A. Morin, Arlene L. Paraico, Madonna Patrick, Kimberly E. Raichelson, Stephanie D. Santos, Franbcis B. Sapang, Anne Marie L Sawyer, Ann E. Smith, and Amy E. Snyder.
The Accelerated Nursing program is designed for students who have earned a bachelor’s degree or higher in another discipline and wish to become registered nurses with a BS in nursing.
