Galloway, N.J.
- Stockton University’s 37th Annual Scholarship Benefit Gala will be held on Saturday, April 22 at the Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club in Galloway, N.J.

Proceeds from the event support the Stockton Foundation’s Benefit Gala Endowed Scholarship Fund, which last year provided more than $110,000 in scholarships to 113 students. Since 2007 the Benefit Gala has added more than $3 million to the endowment in support of student scholarships.

Back by popular demand the event will feature an innovative format that allows guests to circulate and enjoy live entertainment and special menus in each of four spaces. Seating will be available in each of the four rooms. Each room features different hors d’oeuvres passed by wait staff, small plates and food stations with chefs in every room, along with delectable desserts.

A special room dedicated to the silent auction, which raised more than $15,000 last year. The auction, located in the indoor pool area, will include a large variety of high-end items such as getaways, jewelry, golf, wine baskets, sweet treats and much more.  Tito's Handmade Vodka is a proud partner for this year's event and has agreed to match the first $10,000 raised through the auction.

Entertainment will include: Carnivale, a 12-piece big band that covers almost every genre of music; Fleur Seule, 1940s style Jazz & Swing music with Hollywood glamour, Megan Knight Duo, a perfect balance between modern and classic sounds from many different genres, Chad Juros and Mike Palladino, performing strolling magic, and a few surprise celebrity impersonators.

“Students come first at Stockton, and helping to make higher education affordable is a major commitment of the foundation and the university community as a whole,” said President Harvey Kesselman. “About 85 percent of our students receive some form of financial aid, and through the generosity of donors, including proceeds from the Gala, they are able to complete their educations and go on to future success.”

Dolce Hotels and Resorts and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 351 are the Chairs’ Circle sponsors of the event, which begins at 6:30 p.m. at Stockton Seaview, 401 South New York Road in Galloway.
