Galloway, N.J. - Stockton University at Manahawkin will screen the film, “The New Black,” on Monday, July 17 at 1 p.m. as part of its Movie Monday series.
The documentary tells the story of how the African-American community is grappling with the gay rights issue in light of the recent gay marriage movement and the fight over civil rights.
At its conclusion, a brief discussion of the film will be held with adjunct instructor Gina Maguire.
This free event is sponsored by the Stockton Center for Successful Aging (SCOSA) and Stockton University at Manahawkin.
