G. Larry James Bike Ride Raises $23,389 for Scholarships
GALLOWAY, N.J.- The Ninth Annual G. Larry James Legacy Bike Ride in June raised $23,389 for student scholarships at Stockton University.
Professor Arnaldo Cordero-Roman, and Associate Dean of Students Craig Stambaugh, presented the check to Stockton University president Harvey Kesselman, and Board of Trustees Chairwoman Madeleine Deininger at the September 20 board meeting.
The late G. Larry James was a longtime administrator at Stockton and a gold and silver medalist in the 1968 Olympics. The annual bike ride has raised more than $150,000 for scholarships since 2009.
Sponsors include Quantum Capital Management, W.S. Goff Company, Supply Works, Quality Products and Services, and RFK Wealth Partners.
The annual G. Larry James Legacy 5K race to benefit the scholarship fund will be held Oct. 21 in Atlantic City as part of the Atlantic City Marathon race weekend.
