Galloway, N.J. -- StarWound, a pop-music and spoken-word trio based in Athens, Greece, will perform a free show as part of the Stephen Dunn Visiting Writing Series at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27.

Their music fuses EDM and synth rock, and the group has performed in several European music festivals, including Eurosonic (Netherlands), the CLAE Festival (Luxembourg) and Colora (Belgium).

StarWound will perform “Interiors,” an original piece that unites music, poetry, dance and spoken word, and delves into the social perception of mental illness. The group’s lyrics are collaborations with poets from the East Coast, including Stockton’s Professor of Creative Writing Cynthia Arrieu-King.

The show is open to the public and will take place in the Campus Center Theatre.

The Stephen Dunn Visiting Writing Series is named after the late Pulitzer Prize-winning poet and distinguished professor emeritus of Creative Writing at Stockton. It’s sponsored by Murphy Writing, the School of Arts and Humanities, the Noyes Arts Garage and the Literature program.

StarWound is co-sponsored by the Dean C. and Zoe Pappes Interdisciplinary Center for Hellenic Studies at Stockton.
