Birckhead

Galloway, N.J. – A bold combination of jazz and contemporary music is set to be performed in Stockton University’s Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21.

Brent Birckhead is an award-winning saxophonist and woodwind artist who, with his dynamic quartet, has performed with legends including Lauryn Hill, Nas and George Duke.

Birckhead was praised by the New York Times as “one of the most riveting young improvisers in New York," and his latest album, “Cacao,” explores identity and self-reclamation.

Currently teaching at Baltimore School of the Arts and Morgan State University, Birckhead continues to push the boundaries of jazz and contemporary music.

Tickets are $30 for the general public, $28 for senior citizens (65+) and $18 for children under 17.
