Hispanic Heritage Month

Stockton University, Unidos and Los Latinos Unidos have scheduled multiple events to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Students, faculty and staff are invited to participate. 

  • Sept. 24, 2 p.m. Galloway campus: The Patita Project, a volunteering partnership done with the local Atlantic County Animal Shelter to gather and create donations to the animals of the shelter.
  • Sept. 25, 3 p.m. AC Quad: Taste of Culture with La Mesa;
  • Sept. 25: 12-8 p.m. Latino Festival at Bader Field in Atlantic City.
  • Sept. 25: 8:30 p.m. Campus Center Theater; viewing of movie “In the Heights.”
  • Sept. 27, 2 p.m. Galloway Campus: The Patita Project, a volunteering partnership done with the local Atlantic County Animal Shelter to gather and create donations to the animals of the shelter.
  • Sept. 28, 4 p..m Galloway Campus C136: The Chisme: A talk about the Latin and Hispanic community, a presentation and open discussion with attendees about colorism in the community, stereotypes, and similar barriers we all face old & new.
  • Sept. 28, 2 p.m. Galloway Campus: The Patita Project, a volunteering partnership done with the local Atlantic County Animal Shelter to gather and create donations to the animals of the shelter.
  • Sept. 30, 2 p.m. Galloway Campus and Digital- Latinx/Hispanic Programming Fundraising,
  • Sept. 30, 8 p.m. Galloway Campus Center Coffeehouse: Domino Night, a fun night filled with music, treats, and the chance to play exciting games of dominos.
  • Oct. 2, (time to be announced) R&J Farms: Corn maze and Hayride at R&J Farms, to kick-off the month of October. Students will have the opportunity to purchase tickets got a somewhat spooky hayride and a perplexing corn maze. 
  • Oct. 3, 4:30 p.m. Stockton University Atlantic City, John F. Scarpa Academic Center Fannie Lou Hamer Event Room: Praise and Worship Celebration
  • Oct. 5, 4 p.m. Galloway Campus C136: Hispanics/Latinx In STEM, a panel/discussion with current and graduate students and staff in the STEM field, where they can provide their stories upon experiences and advice.
  • Oct. 6, 7 p.m. Campus Center Coffee House: Spoken Word Poetry Night, a fun night filled with music, treats, and amazing poetry performed by students and staff.
  • Oct. 7, 2 p.m. Galloway Campus and Digital- Latinx/Hispanic Programming Fundraiser
  • Oct. 7, 9 p.m. Galloway Campus Event Room: Fusion Dance Experience with La Mesa
  • Oct. 9, 6 p.m. Stockton University Atlantic City- Nuestro Pueblo Awards
  • Oct. 13, 4:30 p.m. Galloway Campus Meeting Room 5: Salsa y Bachata Night, want to learn a new dance, maybe just improve what you may know, or even just have a fun night filled with dance dancing and music? This is the perfect event to get out and show us what you got.
  • Oct. 14, 2 p.m. Galloway Campus and Digital: Latinx/Hispanic Programming Fundraising
  • Oct. 14, 6 p.m. Campus Center Coffeehouse: Paint and Sip, a fun night filled with music, treats, canvases for painting and some amazing paintings.
  • Oct. 15, 8 p.m. Galloway Campus Lakeside Lodge: Hispanic Heritage Month Farewell, a sendoff to another fantastic year of amazing events, with food, music and some giveaways.
