Cannabis Regulations Panel

Galloway, N.J. - The Status of the Adult Use Cannabis Program in New Jersey will be the topic of the free Stockton University Cannabis & Hemp Research Initiative (CHRIS) Quarterly Education Panel from 12-1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1 via Zoom.

Panelists will include:

  • Rob Mejia, Stockton University adjunct professor of Cannabis Studies (moderator)
  • Faye Coleman, CEO, Pure Genesis LLC
  • Edmund DeVeaux, President, New Jersey CannaBusiness Association
  • Michael McQueeny, Cannabis Attorney, Foley Hoag LLP

“The New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission is expected in late August to issue rules and regulations that will govern the adult use cannabis market,” Mejia said. “Part of the mission of the Stockton Cannabis & Hemp Initiative is to provide cannabis education to the community. If you are interested in participating in the New Jersey cannabis industry, this panel is for you.”

Topics to be covered include explaining the new state rules, business opportunities, clarifying the regulations surrounding the acquisition of micro-licenses and explaining who is considered a social equity applicant and why this is important.
