Financial Assistance

Financial assistance can take the form of loans, grants, scholarships and employment (work-study) opportunities. All information about your personal finances is kept confidential.

Three main funding sources are:

  • The Federal Government. Financial aid from the federal government consists of Federal Pell Grants, College Work-Study, Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (SEOG), and the Federal Direct Student Loan (FDSL) Program (Stafford loans, Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS).
  • State of New Jersey. State of New Jersey financial aid consists of the Tuition Aid Grant (TAG), scholarships and other awards (including EOF).
  • Stockton University. University financial aid consists of institutional grants (Stockton Award), merit-based scholarships, Stockton Foundation scholarships, and student assistance program.

Academic Support

The Educational Opportunity Fund program provides students with academic support through a partnership with the Academic Tutoring Centers for Math and Writing. Our students are strongly encouraged to visit the Learning Center weekly.

Holistic Coaching

EOF practices a personalized, student-centered approach designed to foster academic success, personal growth, and professional development among EOF scholars. It combines elements of mentoring, advising, and skills training to help students navigate the challenges of higher education effectively. 

Career Education & Development

Through our partnership with Career Education & Development, our EOF scholars have been placed in a variety of engaging Internship and Professional Opportunities. It is our overall goal to graduate students that will take on leadership roles within their respective communities whether they be within the public, private or non-profit sectors. Our students benefit from the one-on-one support from Career Education & Development staff. Learning Access Program

The Learning Access Program can be found on campus in room J-204 or online at www.stockton.edu/LAP. Please call 609-652-4988 or send an email to LAP@stockton.edu for more information. Once you have received an accommodation letter from LAP, please contact your instructor to privately discuss your needs as soon as practical to ensure that reasonable accommodations are implemented.

EOF Research Scholars

This program provides opportunities for EOF scholars to engage in undergraduate research while networking and building connections within the world of research. This program works in collaboration with Career Education and Development, Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Academic Achievement Programs, and Academic Affairs.
