Essential Financial Literacy Series

Do you know how money REALLY works? Join our collection of “introductory” courses in our greater financial literacy program to learn more about how your money can work better for you. Our “Essentials” series will review the basics of investing, how banks and credit cards work, the difference between “good debt”, “bad debt”, and when it is a wise time to borrow, making interest rates work for you, and an introduction of stocks, bonds, and intermediate financial planning. Led by a Hammonton-local and Accredited Asset Management Specialist, Benjamin Ott, this series is designed to enhance basic financial literacy for adults and/or mature teens with adult supervision. 

Note: The cost of 1 registration includes 1 guest to attend the series at no additional charge.

Intermediate Financial Literacy Series

Enhance your money know-how with our “Intermediate Financial Literacy” Series. These 4 courses are designed to build off the “Essential Financial Literacy” Series offered by Stockton’s Office of Continuing Studies and Adult Education, and to advance the financial skills and strategies for adults. Participants in this course will learn about the stock market, P/E ratios, bonds, interest rates, maturities, insurance policies, variable annuities, mutual funds, 401(k)s, IRAs, inheritance, estate taxes, and tax consequences from investments. Led by a Hammonton-local and Accredited Asset Management Specialist, Benjamin Ott, this series is designed to enhance more advanced financial literacy for adults and/or mature teens with adult supervision who completed the "Essentials" series.
