October 2021:

Strategic Planning and SWOT Analysis Essentials

“Success is no longer a matter of absolute performance, but depends on how well a company does relative to others” (West, 2015, p. 68). Anticipating through regular environmental scanning (accessing forces and trends through intelligence gathering), assessing/interpreting through environmental analysis, and evaluating strategic fit (match market needs and organizational strengths/capabilities) are crucial. A thorough SWOT analysis provides the foundation for a comprehensive strategic plan.  This series, part of the Online Leadership Program, will help business owners and entrepreneurs of all sizes understand how to approach a SWOT analysis, learn the interrelationship between a SWOT and a strategic planning, and how to establish a sustainable market position. This 2-part course is suggested for all skill levels.
