Center for Learning Design

The learning design team supports faculty in a critical review of their teaching practices and assists them in implementing their ideas, supporting their research, and effectively incorporating technology into their course design. This work may lead to new and innovative educational approaches. To help ensure the most successful integration, the learning design team will support the creation and implementation of assessment practices that will capture the impact of these approaches on students’ learning. Whether it is rethinking course design, assessing curriculum, or creating a dynamic teaching and learning materials, the Center for Learning Design can work with all faculty to align teaching practices, student learning, and technology.

The Center for Learning Design provides faculty with pedagogically-based best practices for incorporating technology into face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses; leadership in identifying strategies for engaging students in learning with technology; a regular calendar of individual and group instruction; training for faculty to increase comfort and utility of digital tools for teaching and learning; and support for student success in technologically-enhanced learning environments.
