Food Insecurity in our Community and the Little Free Pantry Movement
Food Insecurity in our Community and the Little Free Pantry Movement
June 2, 15, & 30, 2020, 1-2pm, ONLINE VIA ZOOM | The Stockton Center on Successful Aging (SCOSA) will be doing our part to minimize food insecurity for our students and community members by installing Little Free Pantries. The Little Free Pantry movement “is a grassroots, crowdsourced solution to immediate and local need. Whether a need for food or a need to give, mini pantries help neighbors feed neighbors, nourishing neighborhoods” (MiniPantry, 2020). SCOSA proposes to install and/or stock several Little Free Pantries in our local communities. Join us for a discussion session about the issue and our start of a solution.
