Friendships are important throughout the lifespan and they evolve as we age. Individuals with healthy social connections experience better physical, cognitive and mental health than their socially disconnected counterparts. This presentation will address characteristics associated with friendships from childhood through older adulthood. How to maintain existing relationships, revive stagnant ones and create new relationships will also be discussed.
