NJ Transfer information

NJ Transfer is a tool that can be utilized to find course equivalencies across NJ community colleges to Stockton. Potential Stockton students can utilize NJ Transfer to see which courses they should be taking at their community college to prepare them for a smooth transition into their Bachelor degree program at Stockton. Current Stockton students can also utilize NJ Transfer to see course equivalencies if they are considering taking summer/winter courses at their local community college. Simply visit NJTransfer.org to utilize their tools. 

 

How do I know which courses I should choose at my community college if I want to come to Stockton after?

  • Go to NJTransfer.org.
  • Click "Students" drop down.
  • Click "Transfer Programs".
  • Select your community college in the "Transfer from" drop down. 
  • Select "Stockton University" in the "Transfer to" drop down.
  • Click on your intended major at Stockton. 
  • A guideline of courses at your community college will appear that have been reccommended by Stockton to transfer into the Stockton program.

 

How do I figure out what the equivalency is for my Stockton course at a community college for current Stockton students? 

  • Go to NJTransfer.org.
  • Click "Students" drop down. 
  • Click "Find course equivalencies". 
  • Select your community college in the "Transfer from" drop down. 
  • Select "Stockton University" in the "Transfer to" drop down.
  • Click "List all equivalencies". 
  • Click the boxes next to "Active courses" and "Courses evaluated for transfer only".
  • Click "Search".
  • Scroll to find the Stockton course you need on the right hand side, and the community college equivalent will be listed to the left of it. 
  • Fill out the "Permission to take courses at another institution form" and get it signed by your preceptor, program chair, and an academic advisor. 
  • After taking the course, be sure to send your offical transcript to the Registrar.
