The Grants Analyst manages the transition period from pre-award to post-award in research grants administration.

Specific duties include:

• Oversee the initial setup of all research grants, including grants banner access permissions.
• Responsible for data entry of all research proposals into the Banner system.
• Use of tracking tools to facilitate routing of proposal approvals within the institution.
• Support schools, units and centers with obtaining hourly and supplemental position numbers as indicated for their research grants.
• Provide research administration support to all schools and centers.
• Maintain essential record keeping of ORSP grants management files.
• Analyze and interpret applicable principles, federal and/or state laws and regulations in the course of official duties.

 

• Provide support to the IRB
• Ensure compliance in human subject research
• Provide support to Principal Investigators submitting protocols to the IRB
• Reviews IRB protocols
• Serves as liaison to the IRB
• Assists Compliance Officer & IO with maintaining compliance with federal, state, local, and institutional guidelines, policies, and procedures on research with human subjects. 
• Acts as liaison to university faculty, staff, administrators, and legal counsel to interpret and resolve research compliance issues. 

• Support for Post-Award team
• Assist ED in identifying grant opportunities
• Assist ED in development and implementation of training opportunities
• Liaison for university faculty, staff, administrators, and legal councel
• Contribute to/author any ORSP-related internal documents in regards to policies, procedures, guidelines related to research & research compliance
• Oversee departmental and F&A budgets within ORSP
