Event Description: Incidents of fraud are on the rise and scammers’ tactics are becoming more complex, which is why it is important to educate oneself about fraud. While no one is immune to the tactics of a scammer, there are steps one can take to “Outsmart the Scammers.” Join the Stockton Center for Successful Aging for an informative presentation and learn about important strategies to help protect oneself and others from scammers. Participants will learn:
- How to spot certain red flags that may indicate a fraudulent encounter
- Resources one can turn to in the event he or she is targeted
- Steps someone can take now to help protect him or herself and their loved ones
