What: “Migration in a Minute: Share Your Story with Us!”
When: 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017
Where: Kramer Hall, 30 Front Street Hammonton, N.J. 08037
Event Description: The South Jersey Culture and History Center, the Noyes Museum of Art of Stockton University and Kramer Hall are collaborating to raise awareness of South Jersey's long-standing cultural diversity, which was cultivated through waves of emigration and migration.
As part of their project, the collaborators want to hear about your family’s story. The public is invited to Kramer Hall to share what, how and why their families settled in South Jersey.
Attendees are invited to bring in photos, letters and treasures they would like digitized and returned to them on a USB drive, while supplies last.
The site will also be giving tours of the Noyes Museum of Art’s newest exhibition “The Lure of South Jersey,” on display now through spring 2018 and taking vintage photographs with props and costumes for those who want to leave with a unique souvenir.
Cost: Free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Please consider bringing a nonperishable food item for the Fall Food Drive. All items collected at Kramer Hall will be distributed within the Town of Hammonton.
How to Register: Please visit https://migrationstory.eventbrite.com to reserve your space.
