Disordered Eating Awareness and Prevention 2019

Galloway, N.J. - Stockton University will host over 24 major events from February until April highlighting disordered eating awareness and prevention. These events are free and open to both students and the public. 

Below is a tentative schedule: 

Feb. 11-14, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., E-Wing Gallery (in front of Richard Bjork Library): "Disordered Eating Awareness and Prevention" screenings with therapy dogs and interactive tabling. 

Feb. 11, 6 p.m.-8 p.m., Board of Trustees Room (upper level Campus Center): Yoga class and recovery narrative with Grace and Glory owner/founder Allie Nunzi. 

Feb. 12, 4:30 p.m.-5:45 p.m., C134: Student stories of recovery from eating disorders. 

Feb. 13, 8 p.m.-9:30 p.m., Campus Center Theater: Keynote Speaker Stacy Pershall from Active Minds. 

Feb. 14, 4:30 p.m., Campus Center Meeting Rooms 1-5: Coping skill workshops; five adjoining classrooms teaching judo, mindful eating, meditation, artistic expression, and distress tolerance skills. 

Feb. 15, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., TRLC (by freshmen dorms): “Mental Health First Aid – CPR for the Brain" event. Must pre-register to participate. 

Feb. 25, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Campus Center Food Court: “No Makeup Monday” in partnership with Delta Phi Epsilon. 

Feb. 25, time TBA, Alton Auditorium (in A-Wing): Nutrition presentation by Kristen Mittleman in partnership with Delta Phi Epsilon. 

Feb. 16, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Campus Center Food Court: “Take What You Need Thursday” in partnership with Delta Phi Epsilon. 

Feb. 26, 4:40-5:45 p.m., Campus Center Meeting Room 5: Art/Drama/Expression event with Kate Black Regan. 

Feb. 27, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Campus Center Food Court: “Why I Am Beautiful Wednesday” in partnership with Delta Phi Epsilon. 

Feb. 27, 8 p.m., Campus Center Event Room: Delta Phi Epsilon Fashion Show. 

Feb. 28, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Campus Center Food Court: “Positive Thought Thursday” in partnership with Delta Phi Epsilon. 

Feb. 28, 12 p.m., N-Wing: “Healthy Food=Healthy Mood” with nutritionist Kim Raring. 

Feb. 28, 8 p.m., location TBA: Delta Phi Epsilon Zumba event. 

Feb. 29, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Campus Center Food Court: “Feature Yourself Friday” in partnership with Delta Phi Epsilon. 

Feb. 29, 6 p.m., C/D Atrium (next to C wing): ANAD Candlelight vigil in partnership with Delta Phi Epsilon. 

Mar. 5, 8 p.m., Campus Center Theater: Presentation by Megan Marshall from FLY Movement. 

Mar. 20, 7 p.m.-9 p.m., Campus Center Theater: “Someday Melissa” screening and reflection session. 

Mar. 27, 1 p.m., Campus Center Meeting Room 5: “The Science of Eating Disorders” hosted by Dr. Sara Martino. 

Mar. 28, all day, numerous locations: Wellness Day. 

Mar. 28, 4:30 p.m., F221: Sensory toy-making event with Lucy Allen. 

Apr. 3, 8 p.m., location TBA: Gaming Club and Active Minds event. Free food to be provided to participants. 

Apr. 4, 4:30 p.m., F221: Celebrity eating disorder discussion and reflection session. 

Apr. 5, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Lakeside Lodge (by Lake Fred): “Mental Health First Aid” event. 

Apr. 9, 10 a.m., I-Wing gym area: Stress Less Day. 

Apr. 18, all day, numerous locations: Gratitude Fest.
