"Crisis at the Border and Within"

Galloway, N.J. - The Stockton University Child Welfare Education Institute (CWEI) will host “Crisis at the Border and Within”, a panel discussion on the separation of children and families, on Tuesday, July 24 from 9:00 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Campus Center Theater.

This discussion will feature Stockton faculty Priti Haria, associate professor of Education, Robin Hernandez-Mekonnen, assistant professor of Social Work, and Michael Rodriguez, associate professor of Political Science. The guided discussion will include the implications and impacts the separation of children and families can have on our child welfare and school systems, policy and practice, as well as the overarching effects and implications of the traumatic experiences suffered by the families.

This event will offer 2.5 Social Work Cultural Competence CEs for professionals. Registration begins at 9:00am and the program will start at 9:30 a.m.
