A Taste of Mindfulness; A Journey from Lay Life to Buddhist Monk

Galloway, NJ - A Stockton alumnus who is now a Buddhist Monk will speak on “A Journey from Lay Life to Buddhist Monk” as part of “A Taste of Mindfulness” at Stockton University on Nov. 14.

Bhikkhu Jayasara will speak in the Campus Center Theater from 8:30 -10:30 a.m. under the sponsorship of the Stockton Buddhist Club. He will remain on campus for the mindfulness event.

“A Taste of Mindfulness” will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Townsend Residential Life Center. Participants will explore mindfulness through yoga, eating, breath, walking and loving kindness meditation. Those who wish to do yoga should bring a mat. The event is free and open to the public and includes a vegetarian lunch.

The day is sponsored by the Wellness Center at Stockton, Active Minds and The Disordered Eating Awareness and Prevention Team.
